Absolut At Orchard Park at 6060 Armor Duells Road, Orchard Park, New York.

I made the wrong decision in placing my Mom there... I had no choice at the time because my mother's dementia was getting severe quickly and Absolut Care was the only place that would take her right away. (now I know why) Any decent Nursing home has a waiting list from six months to more than a year because of politics and money. The less you have the longer the waiting list for a good nursing home! Absolut Care is under staffed, the facility is not clean, some of the staff should be fired in my opinion and it is extremely depressing... I cannot recommend them and if I had to make the choice again, I would wait on a waiting list. You can tell the owners from NYC do NOT care. I have visited numerous nursing homes in two counties and I am sad to say, Absolut Care is at the bottom of the list in care and quality in general. I am so sorry Mom....

Avoid this facility at all costs. Generally severely under staffed and uses aides and nurses from agency. These workers, along with absolute's own employees, are overall under trained and don't really care. The facility is dirty and poorly kept. Turn over rate for social workers is insane. Food is terrible. We have gotten moldy bread, undercooked food and food that was so burnt it was inedible. All served to residents without a single thought of how bad it is. The nurses don't follow policy to watch the residents take meds. Many times we have gone there and found pills under my mom's bed that she dropped. We have filled several complaints to the facility and to the administration but ownership is out of the area and don't care about anything but the bottom line. Everything is a fight. Something as small as getting notification regarding changes to her care plan don't happen. As soon as we can we are moving my mother to a different facility. Consider this, along with the other bad reviews, a warning that if you have a choice, which we did not, please pick another facility if you care about your family member.
